Children's Parties
Nethergong is the perfect venue for a unique children's party. With twenty-four acres of woodland, fields and copses, three ponds and abundant wildlife, children will be captivated and thrilled with an outdoor party to remember.
The campsite is available for children's parties off-season from October until April. It's also available from April until October on Sunday afternoons after 2pm (except for school holidays.) Any other dates and times are subject to approval.
Our parties are run by Patrick at Willowbank Education and can be tailored to the particular needs of the group.
Bushcraft Party
A three hour party for 10 children which will include fire lighting, den building and marshmallows - £220
Nethergong Natural Play Party
Hire an area of the campsite and our new café for up to 3 ½ hours (including set up and clear up) for your child’s birthday party for up to 30 children.
Party add-ons:
- Party food - Take the hassle out of cooking by having the party food prepared for you on the fire (sausages and burgers, dietary requirements also catered for) - £6 per head
- Rowing boats - Set sail around the lake on our very own rowing boats - £50
- Extra children - Add up to ten more children to the party - £70 (for an extra member of staff.)

Away days
Reconnect with your team in the garden of England with a corporate away day at our idyllic campsite.
If you would like to hire Nethergong for an away day, we can tailor the experience to fit your requirements and have a well-equipped site to facilitate a full or half day.
You could choose to do fire starting, den building, or whittling in the morning. With pizza making for lunch, utilising our wood fired oven. The afternoon could be spent pottering about on our lake, fishing, or boating. We also have indoor space, wifi and café facilities on offer too. The site is also available to hire without activities.
We will do our best to organise an unforgettable day out for your team!

Fish & fire
Throughout the camping season and school holidays, we host a number of one-off "Fish and Fire" events for parents and their children to spend the day at Nethergong, learn some new skills and maybe develop a life-long passion...
In the hands of Pat from Willowbank Education, our qualified forest school and angling coach, you will learn the basics of fishing on our well-stocked lake in the morning.
If you already have some fishing experience then Pat will help take your game to the next level!
When it is time for lunch there will be a fire-lighting session. Lunch is provided with meat from Preston Butchers to cook on the campfire you have created (dietary requirements also catered for.) The afternoon will allow you to practice your new found skills on the lake and make life long memories.
We have a 100% success rate for catching so far so that almost guarantees you will go home with the obligatory holding-a-fish photo for the mantlepiece!

Bespoke catering
The team at Nethergong can provide catering options and a picturesque setting for your small event or special occasion. We also run special catering events ourselves for you to come and enjoy the site and sample some fabulous local produce.
We can provide delicious pizzas from our wood-fired pizza oven, situated on site next to our café, or we can put you in touch with local chefs and businesses who can provide a variety of catering options for you during your stay with us, or outside of the camping season.
In May, we host our annual Argentinian BBQ. An all-day feast for meat-lovers and vegetarians alike! High quality local meat and veggies are slowly cooked over wood fires all afternoon and early evening by Dave and his team at Sizzle Grills.
